We tried this one on snowmobiles and on snowshoes. We plan to reattempt this one when we visit again in the summertime. It's too close to our family's cabin not to find!

TERRACACHE LOCATIONLESS CACHE DETAILS

The first is actually a very large log stable that we always see on National Forest Road 250 in Colorado. I don't know any of its history, but it is really interesting to look at. It is built up against a rock formation, I would assume to help stabilize its mass and protect it from the wind.

The second is actually where the coordinates will lead you. It is my family's cabin in Colorado called, "Not Enough Time". My dad helped my grandfather build it 25 years ago from logs cut from the property. The only source of heat is a Franklin stove in the middle, but it is VERY efficient! We have so many memories and stories that it is part of my family history. I hope to share it with my children and their children.

The road is only plowed so far and then we have to snowmobile in, in the winter. The summer is just as beautiful!

Hello from Texas! This was our first cache to find in Colorado! What a great and creative hide! After driving through the night, we stopped and grabbed this one before breakfast at the Monte Villa. This was MissBehavin's Papa's first geocache, but he waited in the truck. It was a little chilly at 7am.

These were taken on our honeymoon on the Carnival Valor on August 30, 2008. The coordinates posted are for the Port of Miami, which is the Valor's home port.

The mini-golf course was on the highest level of the ship and was only 9 holes. I would seriously consider the ocean and wind as two of the obstacles!

We are traveling to my family's cabin in Colorado for the weekend. I have found four potential geocaches that we are planning to grab while we are on our way! There would be a lot more, if we weren't doing our main traveling at night and it wasn't in the middle of winter. the time of year really limits the amount of caches near our cabin, since there is always a ton of snow.

There is one potential cache that I think we might actually get our first FTF. This one is literally right down the road from our cabin, which is in the middle of nowhere. I hope it's not buried to deep in the snow!

I also can't wait to post pics of us geocaching on snowmobiles!!! Can you tell that I am excited?

This was actually cached in 2003. PLEASE LET IT COUNT! We actually go back to this spot every couple of years for new pictures, but we haven't been geocaching here since this pic was taken. The funny part of this pic is that I am the one in the yellow Bronco with my ex and my (now) husband is in his red Blazer with his sister! I now have a maroon Chevy longbed 4x4 that is my baby! Yay for a 2 4x4 family!

This poor little guy needed a little TLC. He has come all the way from St Barthelemy (French island of St Barts) and wants to travel to France and then Europe!

When we picked him up, we didn't know his goal. Now we do and we have given him a brand spanking new info tag! We don't know if there was anything else attached to the dogtag, but we will keep our eyes open for something.

Joanns had something!!! They had what I was looking for... "The Amazing Button Maker" for $17.99 - 7.20 (40% off)!! It came with 20 1.25" buttons. The 20 button refill kits
are 5.99-2.40 (40%), so I bought two! With a circle cutter (which I don't like and will exchange), I got out of there spending less than $35! Sadly, I can't find it anywhere on the Amazon or Joann's websites.

So far, this little plastic machine is worth the little cash that I spent on it! Of course, the buttons aren't perfect like my friend Cat's, but they are way better than I expected. I was planning on trying it out tonite and not liking it. Well, that's out the window! It's pretty cool and does what I want, geocache swag!

It may look like a piece of junk, but it is doing the job! I'm mostly disappointed in the circle cutter that I bought!

Placed this one yesterday and it was found late last night! YAY! It is a videogame-themed urban-ish cache and letterbox. I had a lot of fun setting this one up. It is in my office parking lot, so stealth must be used. The people in our building know it is there, and since my grandfather owns it, permission was given.

Ok. So we used to use a Polaroid i-Zone Pocket Instant Camera with sticky film, way back when we used to geocache before we were Team-Trouble. We would take a self-portrait shot and stick the photo-sticker in the logbook with our log. It was quite fun and I'm sure other people enjoyed looking at it too! Sadly, the only film that I could find was expired and started to not work anymore. Even worse, Polaroid decided to discontinue production of its instant film (see Engadget article).

However, lack of instant film does not mean lack of instant photos! As I was looking in Sunday's Best Buy ad, I found that Polaroid makes a pocket-sized photo printer that is called the Polaroid PoGo Instant Mobile Printer! It prints out 2"x3" photos on sticky-backed paper with no ink! Even better, it appears to be the size of a digital camera! Since it prints via Bluetooth, there is no need to carry a digital camera. We can use our cellphones!

I am really excited about this new little toy! It will also make it easier for us to add photos to our personal logbook.

I popped into my local (and newly renovated) Michael's and picked up a SPEEDY-STAMP STAMP MAKING KIT. I give this kit a BIG A+!! I also picked up a few other things, including a brand-spanking-new logbook!

Maybe I can drag Big Mister Ed out to letterbox and geocache this week.

Half of Team-Trouble took a trip to West Texas and we spotted this awesome Texas Historical Marker. This one hadn't been added to Waymarking.Com yet, so that it what we did!

"Most important mine site in Texas for 30 years. Coal here, probably known to Indians, was "discovered" in 1886 by W. W. Johnson, who with his brother Harvey sold out to Texas and Pacific Coal Company in 1888. (T. and P. Coal Company provided fuel for the Texas and Pacific Railroad, but was independently owned.)
Town was named for H. K. Thurber, friend of T. and P. Coal Company founders. Most dynamic firm member was Robert D. Hunter (1833-1902), developer of 7 of 15 mines. Next president was E. L. Marston, Hunter's son-in-law, who left mining largely to William K. Gordon (1862-1949), an engineer who brought daily output to 3,000 tons.
Then in 1917, Gordon (backed by management of coal company) was primarily responsible for discovery of Ranger oil field, 20 miles west. Adoption of oil- burning railway locomotives cut demand for coal. Last mine here closed in 1921, and the 10,000 or more inhabitants of Thurber began to move away.
The coal firm changed its name to Texas Pacific Coal and Oil Company and was sold in 1963 to Joseph E. Seagram and Sons, Inc., for $277,000,000.00. Renamed Texas Pacific Oil Company, it is now one of largest independent domestic energy suppliers. Much coal (by estimate 127,000,000 tons) remains underground. (1969)"

It has been a while since we have been geocaching and we forgot how to convert from decimals to degrees. It also doesn't help that GPS #1 decided to die. A quick internet search a calculation at home and we are ready to try it again tomorrow or later this week!

FIND #1 of 5 TODAY. With the correct coordinates, this one still took a little time. GPS bounced around a little, but we finally found it! The log was wet, but we managed to stamp it. Lots things sticking to our shoes. We highly suggest pants for this one!
